Nyapachuma Memorial Foundation (NMF) conducted a campus dialogue at Levy Mwanawasa University on Friday, bringing together students for a focused discussion on Sextortion and GBV.
The session featured a role play that allowed students to recognize what sextortion is, how it occurs, and practical ways to protect themselves from becoming victims.
The Dean of Students and Brian Malambo, the Union President were also present. Brian Malambo called upon students to report cases of Sextortion and GBV and assured them that institutional support systems are in place. He further encouraged union leaders in other institutions of higher learning to take an active stance on these issues, emphasizing that student leadership must embody accountability, advocacy, and the responsibility to speak out against all forms of abuse.
The engagement reaffirmed the importance of collaborative efforts between institutional leadership, student union representatives, and civil society in promoting safer and more accountable learning environments for all students.
