Nyapachuma Memorial Foundation (NMF) convened its first Steering Committee meeting of the year, bringing together student representatives from five higher learning institutions.
Discussions focused on setting priorities for the year ahead, including expanding campus sensitization efforts, strengthening reporting pathways, enhancing peer-led prevention initiatives, and increasing student participation in advocacy activities. The Committee also outlined strategies to deepen institutional partnerships and ensure sustained engagement within learning environments.
The meeting reaffirmed NMF’s commitment to youth-led approaches, recognizing students as critical partners in promoting safer, more accountable higher learning institutions. Through continued coordination and shared leadership, the Steering Committee will play a central role in driving prevention, awareness, and reporting efforts throughout the year.
